Transportation
Honningsvåg has a local airport, but most travelers prefer to fly from Alta, which offers several daily flights to Oslo, Tromsø, and other locations, situated 220 km away. Daily bus services connect Honningsvåg to Alta and other towns in the Finnmark region. The coastal ferries Hurtigruten and Havila Kystruten also make in the town twice daily. For those interested in exploring the area, car rentals are available.

The local doctor's office is available for those in need of urgent and essential medical assistance. nearest regional hospital is in Hammerfest, while the closest university hospital is located in Tromsø.

In Honningsvåg, three grocery stores—Rema 1000, Coop, and Joker—are open every day throughout the summer (otherwise Mon - Sat). The town also features various other shops, including clothing, electronics, office supplies, and sporting goods.
Activities
In your time off there are plenty of things to do at Magerøya. We have a staff gym at Scandic Honningsvåg, Lagunen and Nordkapphallen that you can use, as well as some bicycles and fishing equipment for loan on your days off. Nordkapp Energy Team will also have a packed schedule of activities. Nordkapp Energy Team activities range from hikes, gym challenges and football tournament to arts & crafts and board game nights. Locally, The North Cape Festival will be held in June, Skarsvåg Dock Festival in July and the North Cape Film Festival in September, as well as many other local events and activities. You could also go hiking on your own, take a daytrip to Alta or Karasjok or just spend time with your coworkers from all over Europe and locals.
